Grace Union’s most productive and best-known ministry is its weekly Food Pantry that welcomes about a thousand guests a month--hundreds each week--from the general area who come and choose their own free, nutritional food and diapers for infants and adults.
Grace Union’s Food Pantry provided 38 tons of nutritious food in 2025 to 9,670 adults and 6,212 children (total: 15,882 individuals) and 4,427 families. We also provided clothing, diapers and 100 Thanksgiving feast baskets, thanks in part to support from members and friends of Grace Union and Winslow churches.
The Cape Atlantic District Anti-Poverty Task Force sponsors this ministry to address growing food insecurity with healthy food supplied by the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. We also provide some of that food to Pinelands UMC's Nesco food pantry.
We need and rely on dedicated volunteers from the church and community, including our youth, to make this ministry possible. If you want to volunteer or if you need free, nurtritious food, come to our Food Pantry ministry on Tuesdays from 4 to 7 PM, where guests can select their own healthy foods and also diapers.
